Azerbaijan is about to increase the production of mazut in 2007 by 10-15% versus 2006.
Davud Mammadov, SOCAR Vice-President on Oil refinery, told Trend that it is happening due to the lack of gas import gas.
We shall refine all volumes of Azerbaijan oil produced by SOCAR, he said. The volume of the oil considered for delivery to refineries is expected to be at the level of 8 mln. tons.
At the same time, the mazut regime will be kept in the first quarter of the next year.
Gas production from gas condensate field Shahdaniz is expected to take place in the second and third sector of the year. However, mazut regime will be applied in the fourth quarter of 2007 again, he said.
