The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed the tender for the dispatch of two consignments of its own Azeri Light oil from the Turkish Port of Ceyhan, which is delivered via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. German trader, Select Energy GmbH won the tender, Trend reports quoting SOCAR.
The volume of the consignment to be shipped from February 28th to March 2nd 2007 will comprise of 1mln barrels (or 135,000 tons).
So far this year SOCAR sold a total of 2.6mln barrels of oil from Ceyhan. The oil cargoes have been purchased by the companies:
Glencore Energy UK Ltd вЂ" January (1mln barrels).
VД°LMA OД°L S.L вЂ" January вЂ" February (1mln barrels)
Select Energy GmbH вЂ" February (600,000 barrels).
Select Energy GmbH вЂ" February вЂ" March (1mln barrels).
