AIOC Publicizes Volume of Export from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields in Jan-Mar

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Aliyev / In January to March 2007 the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), which is involved in the development of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields (ACG) has exported 7,236mln tons of Azeri Light oil, 3.2mln tons more than last year.

AIOC announced that in the first quarter of 2007 export was not carried out via the Baku-Supsa (western route) due to repair work carried out in the pipeline. In February to March 2006 a total of 1,729mln tons of oil was transported. In January to March export via the Baku-Novorossiysk (northern pipeline) made up 696,800 against 993,300 tons in the first quarter of 2006. Export in the Georgian direction to the Batumi port made up 749,125mln tons of oil in January to March 2007, against 1,315mln tons in 2006. During this period 5,790,600 tons of oil was transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline.

In March oil export was not carried out via the Baku-Supsa (western route) oil pipeline due to due repair work being done on the pipeline. In March 2006, a total of 595,313 tons of Azeri Light was transported via this route.

In March 2007 a total of 99,974 tons of oil was delivered via the Baku-Novorossiysk route against 337,065 tons in March 2006.

In March 2007 a total of 237,900 tons of oil was transported to the Batumi port (excluding ExxonMobil and Devon companies) against 524,267 tons in March 2006. Oil export which began in June 2006, via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline, totaled 2,146mln tons (15 tankers).
