Oil&Gas Materials 10 April 2007 16:16 (UTC +04:00)

Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N.Kirskhalia / The Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia states that Georgia does not sustain a deficit due to the decrease of gas supply from Azerbaijan. Trend special correspondent reports quoting the Oil and Gas Corporation of Georgia. Azerigaz CSC decreased the gas supplied to Georgia in the volume of 1.3 mln cu.m. from 10 January.

At present Georgia receives 1 mln cu.m of gas via the South Caucasus Pipeline per day. This gas is produced from the Shah Deniz field.

Currently gas delivery limitations have been imposed on several regions of Tbilisi. The corporation explains this not by gas deficit, but because of reconstruction work on the improvement of the gas line under the program "Challenge of Millennium".
