Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (c) has restored oil coke production. In January to April 2007, the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery produced 2,710 tons of oil coke.
SOCAR informed that although there were no plans to produce oil coke in the first quarter of 2007, this product was produced in January and February in small volumes. Nevertheless, the production was ceased in March.
In January to March 2007, the volume of this oil produced is 21,960 tons less or 89% of the amount produced in 2006.
In 2006 the enterprise produced 67,240 tons of oil coke.
The main consumers of oil coke produced in Azerbaijan are Russian aluminium plants.
