Germany Increases Azerbaijani Oil Purchases : Bafa
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Over a 12 month period, from March 2006 to March 2007, Germany has purchased around 2mln tons of Azerbaijani oil.
Energy Intelligence Group made the announcement quoting the German Federal Agency Bafa that during this period Germany has imported 40,480 barrels of Azerbaijani oil a day. The purchase of crude oil in this period increased 9%. Bafa stated that the demand for crude oil in Germany is covered at the expense of the Azerbaijani oil.
In this period, Germany has purchased 734,360 barrels of Kazakh oil and 152,460 barrels of Russian oil. The total amount of imports by Germany made up 2.2mln barrels of oil a day at the average price of $64,550 per barrel.
In January to April Azerbaijan has produced 13,727mln tons of oil, or 47.1% more than 2006.
