Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / In January to May of 2007, the oil refinery named after Heydar Aliyev (formerly Azerneftyanajag) of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced 61,400 tons of butane-butylene fraction, an increase of 34.6% from a forecasted (15,800 tons), a source at SOCAR stated.
In January to May of 2006, the volume of butane- butylene fraction production equaled 44,920 tons, 16,480 tons less (36.7%) from the same period of this year. In 2006 the volume of butane- butylene fraction production in Azerbaijan equaled 148,220 tons and in 2005 it was 129,620 tons
As for last year, propane-propylene fraction was not produced between January and May by this enterprise. In 2005 the volume of propane-propylene production equaled 3,020 tons.
