Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. E.Huseinli / Adil Garibov, the Director of the Institute on Radiation Problems of the National Academy of Azerbaijan, stated on 14 June that the prospect of using nuclear energy in the member-countries of the CIS will be discussed by the Commission of the CIS Countries regarding using nuclear energy for peaceful purposes in Minsk on 24-28 June.
Garibov will make a speech regarding the prospects of using nuclear energy in Azerbaijan.
The Institute on Radiation Problems developed and submitted a package of proposals to the Government for the construction of a nuclear energy station in Azerbaijan.
