Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The Geology and Geophysics Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is holding talks with BP Company regarding the processing of old geophysical materials in the territory of Shah Deniz-Apsheron-Zafar-Mashal-Oguz, a source stated in SOCAR.
It is intended to apply the system of 3490 on numeralization of the geophysical seismic materials, as well as the system of SPW on the processing of seismic data. The first system has already been used to process and interpret data obtained from Zardab-Sorsor field, and the second one will be used in the Muradkhanli field.
Geology and Geophysics Department has obtained numerous equipment to carry work regarding research, processing and interpretation of data.
