Azerenerjy not to Increase Electricity Prices

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend / Marlen Askarov, vice-president of Azerenerjy, stated during a press conference that Azerenerjy has not raised the price of electricity.

According to Askarov, the cost of 1 kilowatt of electricity in Azerbaijan amounts to AZN 0.04. After the completion of the reconstruction of some electricity stations the figure may drop.

Seventy-five percent of the prime cost of electricity is for fuel. Presently, some 460g of fuel is used to produce of 1 kilowatt of electricity in the Alibayramli power station, while 380g is used in the Mingachevir thermoelectric power station.

After the construction of a new power station in Alibayramli the amount of fuel will be 270g.
