Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / In July the Complex Drilling Trust of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) began drilling eight new wells a SOCAR source reported on 27 July.
One well will be drilled on Guneshli field which plays a special role in SOCAR's gas increase production program. The design depth of the well is 2,600m.
In addition, wells will be drilled on the fields of Kalmaz (design depth is 2,450m), Gala (design depth is 2,130m), Balakhani (design depth is 1,300m), Bibiheybat (design depth is 1,400m), Pirallahi (design depth is 800m) and two wells on the field of Saadan (design depth is 1,300m and 1,400m).
