Oil&Gas Materials 14 August 2007 15:07 (UTC +04:00)

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Aliyev / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has resumed petrol export to Iran, according to SOCAR. Azerbaijan has plans to send 8 tankers each with 4,200 tons to Iran in August.

The export of petrol was suspended in July due to unexpected repair work of the catalytic cracking plant in Heydar Aliyev Oil Refining Plant (former Azerneftyanajag). The plant is once again operating as normal.

Some 45,000-50,000 tons of petrol (10-12 tankers each with 4,200 tons) was transported to Iranian East Energy every month. The supplies are implemented within the framework of the contract signed with the company. Petrol is transported from the berth owned by Azerneftyag oil-refinery.
