Georgia, Tbilisi /corr. Trend N.Kirskhalia / Replacing the air switcher of Gardabani 330-KWt electricity transmission line in 'Gardabani- 500' sub-station will be completed on 31 August. The Energy Ministry of Georgia stated on 30 August that the old switcher has been in operation for nearly forty years.
The work for replacing the air switcher began on 10 August. The Gardabani line connects the electricity systems of Georgia and Azerbaijan. The electricity export from Georgia to Azerbaijan was halted during the repair work.
