Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / The President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Rovnag Abdullayev, received a delegation headed by Turkish Deputy Energy & Natural Resources Minister, Sami Demirbilek, according to a report by SOCAR.
Transportation of gas from the Shah Deniz field located in Azerbaijan's sector of the Caspian Sea to Europe via Turkey and the projects implemented jointly with international companies, as well as operation of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines was discussed at the meeting.
The SOCAR president spoke of the implementation of the program to increase gas production and the first development stage of Shah Deniz. Joint preparatory work regarding the second stage was discussed.
Demirbilek noted fruitful cooperation between the two countries in oil and gas field, as well as cooperation between SCOAR and Turkish Botas company.
