Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend / The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) reported that Azerbaijan obtained 864.940mln cu m of gas from Shah-Deniz field between January and August 2007, exceeding the forecast by 26.4%. Some 156.84mln cu m of gas was transmitted from the field in August.
Presently, three wells have been operating in the field. Their daily flow rate makes up 15mnl cu m of gas. The fourth well will begin operations in October, which will raise the wells' daily flow rate by another 5mln cu m.
During Phase 1 of the Shah Deniz gas field development, production in the field will make up 8.6bln cu m of gas per year.
