Loans for employment worth over $3M issued in Iran’s Minudasht district

During this Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), loans for employment worth 145.7 billion rials (about $3.46 million) from funds allocated to rural and nomadic tribes were issued to persons eligible for the loan in Minudasht district of Iran’s Golestan province, Reza Tabatabaei, the governor of the Minudasht district of the province, said in an interview with IRNA.

He said that this loan was approved and issued as part of 313 projects at the meeting of the region’s working group on employment.

In turn, Habibullah Ebrahimi, director of the cooperatives, labor and social welfare department of the Minudasht district, said that 1,051 projects worth 580 billion rials (about $13.8 million) were organized for the employment of 2,790 people this year.

He said that in 890 projects, loans worth 440 billion rials (about $10.4 million) for 2,240 people were approved and announced to banks.

In the first stage, banks have paid 145.7 billion rials for employment of 446 people, he noted.

“This year, conditions were created for the employment of 1,765 people in the district,” he said. “To date, 1,284 people have been provided with jobs via loans.”
