In the period of January-April 2019, the manufacturing volume of Kazakhstan’s mechanical engineering amounted to 359.4 billion tenge, which is 17.6 percent more than in the same period of last year, Trend reports citing Energyprom.
Compared to the reporting period of last year, the index of industrial production equaled to 119.8 percent.
The major increase is observed in the production of automobiles, trailers and semi-trailers manufacturing (+58.9 percent, stands at 83.9 billion tenge), and other vehicles and equipment (+62,9 percent, amounts to 23.2 billion tenge).
Compared to the reporting period of 2018, the highest index of industrial production is observed in automobiles, trailers and semi-trailers manufacturing and equals 145.8 percent.
The significant decrease is observed in computer, electronic and optical goods manufacturing (-39.1 percent, amounts to 8.3 billion tenge).
Over half of the manufacturing volume accounts for East Kazakhstan, Kostanay, Karaganda regions and Almaty city.
East Kazakhstan region is the leader among other regions of Kazakhstan due to the manufacturing volume of 63.5 billion tenge and an annual increase of 33.8 percent. It is followed by Kostanay region (50.3 billion tenge, 2.1 times more).
Furthermore, in both East Kazakhstan and Kostanay regions the manufacturing volume of automobiles, trailers and semi-trailers is prevailing over other types of manufacturing (40.8 billion tenge and 38.3 billion tenge respectively).
