As at August 1, 2019, total value of pension savings in Kazakhstan amounted to 10.17 trillion tenge, which is 19 percent more than in the beginning of the year, Trend reports with reference to press office of Unified Accumulative Pension Fund of Kazakhstan.
Some 9.9 trillion tenge of pension savings account for mandatory pension contributions, 224.9 billion tenge account for mandatory professional pension contributions, and 1.9 billion tenge account for voluntary pension contributions.
Furthermore, total number of personal pension accounts amounted to 10.3 million with an increase of almost 152,000 accounts since the beginning of the year.
Total value of pension payments exceeded 124 billion tenge in January-July 2019 compared to 110.9 billion tenge during the reporting period of 2018.
Net investments income accrued on the accounts of contributors amounted to 363.2 billion tenge in 1H2019. The return of the pension assets during 12 months equaled 9.65 percent against inflation of 5.4 percent. Thus, the real positive return of pension assets equals 4.25 percent.
