Uzbek banks start selling Russian rubles, Kazakh tenge

Commercial banks of Uzbekistan started selling cash Russian rubles and Kazakh tenge, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.

At the moment, in some financial institutions people can buy one Russian ruble for 143 soums and one Kazakh tenge for 24.4 soums.

Earlier Trend reported that the Central Bank of Uzbekistan no longer sets prices for the sale and purchase of foreign currency.

Prices for the purchase and sale of currency will now be formed on the market independently.

Moreover, from August 20, commercial banks began selling foreign currency in cash through exchange offices.
