Profit of Azerbaijan's FIMSA up by almost 3 times

The total assets of Azerbaijan's Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA) amounted to 21.335 million manats in the balance sheet for 2018, Trend reports referring to FIMSA’s audit report.

FIMSA’s assets increased by almost 43 percent compared to the previous year. A significant part of the assets (43.6 percent) was comprised of cash and their equivalents at 9.306 million manats (an increase of 5.6 times over the year). The amount received from credit organizations amounted to 8 million manats, having increased by 1.5 times.

The total volume of liabilities amounted to 1.07 million manats - 8.6 percent less than in 2017. The volume of accounts payable amounted to 237,000 manats, almost 3.5 times more than a year earlier.

FIMSA’s total capital increased by 50 percent to 20.269 million manats, mainly due to an increase in retained earnings by 27.4 times to 10.838 million manats.

As of January 1, 2019, FIMSA’s profit amounted to 10.443 million manats, and grew 2.7 times on an annualized basis, having been formed from income of 20.781 million manats (an increase of 36.9 percent) and expenses of 10.443 million manats (a decrease of 8.5 percent).
