State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan increases deductions to state budget

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan (SCC) transferred 2.873 million manats to the state budget in January-August 2019, which is 26.5 percent more than the same period last year, Trend reports referring to data provided by the SCC.

Revenues to the state budget through the SCC are formed in 4 directions, namely customs duties, value added tax (VAT), excise tax and road tax.

In January-August 2019, customs duties amounted to 693.651 million manats, or 22.8 percent of all revenues, VAT to 1.966 million manats (68.4 percent), excise taxes to 184.702 million manats (6.4 percent), and road tax to 29.425 million manats (1 percent).

Compared to January-August 2018, an 18.8-percent increase was observed in revenues from customs duties, along with an increase of 26.9 percent for revenues from VAT and 62.7 percent from excise taxes. Meanwhile, revenues from road tax grew by 21 percent.
