Azerbaijan imported 521.9 tons of medicines from Georgia in January-August this year, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).
The total value of medicines imported from the neighboring country amounted to $20,864,000. In annual comparison, the volume of import of medicines into Azerbaijan from Georgia country decreased by 303 tons or 1.58 times.
In monetary terms, the reduction amounted to $2,146,000.
Over the same period last year, Azerbaijan imported 825 tons of medicines from Georgia with a total value of $ 23,010,000.
In January-July this year, Azerbaijan imported 459.9 tons of medicines from Georgia. The total value of medicines imported from the neighboring country in the reporting period amounted to $17,905,000. In annual comparison, the volume of import of medicines into Azerbaijan from Georgia decreased by 1,118.9 tons or 3.4 percent in first seven months of this year.
