Half of all liabilities of Azerbaijan’s NBC Bank accounts for deposits

From January through September 2019, Azerbaijan’s NBC Bank increased its total liabilities by 9.4 percent compared to the beginning of the year, Trend reports Oct. 22 with reference to the bank’s balance sheet.

The bank’s total liabilities increased by 21.2 million manat ($12.5 million), to 246.5 million manat ($145.3 million).

In the structure of liabilities, half accounts for deposits, which increased by 15.8 percent. The volume of deposits amounted to 106.4 million manat ($62.7 million). Loans from financial institutions, including banks, totaled 671,000 manat ($395,521), having decreased by 18.3 percent since the beginning of the year.

Deposits of financial institutions amounted to 113,076 manat ($66,630), having decreased by 2.1 percent. Other liabilities amounted to 9.5 million manat ($5.5 million).

The report said that the share capital hasn’t changed since the beginning of the year and amounted to 64 million manat ($37.7 million). The bank’s uncovered loss amounted to 8.3 million manat ($5 million), having decreased by 12.1 percent. Total reserves amounted to 2.5 million manat ($1.5 million, or an increase of 56.4 percent).

The total capital of the bank for the reporting period remained almost unchanged, amounting to 58.3 million manat ($34.4 million) compared to 58.1 million manat ($34.2 million) from the beginning of the year.
