Georgian hazelnut producers GPR LTD and NUTSGE LLC are promoting their products in the Chinese market within the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in China, Trend reports citing EastFruit.
According to the marketing and sales manager of NUTSGE LLC Tea Kuhalashvili, the company has been exporting hazelnuts to the Chinese market since 2016 and was present at the Shanghai International Exhibition last year.
Tea Kukhalashvili said that participation in CIIE 2019 shall help to increase the company's product volume in the Chinese market and establish exports of those types of products that are supplied to the European Union and other countries.
GPR LTD was founded in 2013 and it currently owns two enterprises in Samegrelo, Zugdidi (Western Georgia) and Kakheti.
The company is one of the largest producers of hazelnuts in Georgia.
NUTSGE LLC was founded in 2012. The company produces a full range of nut products - natural hazelnut kernels, roasted blanched hazelnuts, roasted crushed hazelnuts, nut flour and nut paste.
The company is cooperating with world-known manufacturers of sweets, and also supplies products to Georgian ice cream producers.
From November 5 to November 20, 2019, the largest international investment and trade exhibition China International Import Expo is being held in Shanghai (China).
The exhibition is organized for the second year, and Georgia takes part in it for the second time. Participation in the first China International Import Expo gave many Georgian manufacturers the opportunity to promote their products on the Chinese market.
In the exhibition space allocated for Georgia, the Produce in Georgia Agency and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of the country organized stands with products of Georgian manufacturers.
