The total bank deposits of the population of Azerbaijani districts as of late October 2019 made up over 8.8 billion manat (over $5.1 billion), which is 956 million manat ($562 million) or 12.1 percent more compared to late October 2018, Trend reports referring to a report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The share of Azerbaijani districts in the total volume of all bank deposits in the country as of late October 2019 was 9.1 percent.
Around 83 percent or 671 million manat ($394 million) of all deposits in the country's districts for the reporting period account for savings in the national currency. As of late October, the volume of deposits in Baku amounted to over 8 billion manat ($4.7 billion), including 3.2 billion manat ($1.9 billion) in national currency.
The average annual interest rate on loans for October 2019 was 3.7 percent in the country's districts and 3.6 percent in Baku.
