From April 1, 2020, excise tax rates on gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied natural in Uzbekistan gas sold to the end consumer will be increased by 22.8 percent and for compressed gas by 14.9 percent, as follows from the law "On the State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2020" which was signed by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
End consumers are legal entities and individuals who purchase gasoline, diesel fuel, and gas for their own needs.
In addition, in Uzbekistan, the excise tax on strong alcoholic beverages produced in the country will increase two times, and once on wine and beer.
In particular, from April 1 of next year, the excise tax on vodka will increase by 10 percent to $11.3 per deciliter, from October 1 - by 7.98 percent to $12.2, cognac - by 6.96 percent, respectively, to $11.5 and 6.69 percent to$ 12.2.
The excise tax on natural-made fermented natural wine produced in Uzbekistan will increase by 7.79 percent to 88 cents, beer - by 10.38 percent to $1.2. However, the law does not specify the terms for increasing excise taxes on these products, from April 1 or October 1.
