Total assets of Azerbaijan’s NBC Bank increase

The total assets of the Azerbaijan’s NBC Bank increased by 14.1 percent last year compared to 2018, Trend reports with reference to the bank’s balance sheet.

The bank’s total assets increased by 40.1 million manat ($23.6 million), reaching 323.5 million manat ($190.2 million), according to the report.

In the structure of assets, the biggest part, about 76.3 percent, is held by loans issued to customers, the volume of which increased by 20.8 percent, reaching almost 247 million manat ($145.2 million). The volume of cash decreased by 18.8 percent, amounting to 4.9 million manat ($2.8 million). Nostro accounts amounted to about 3.7 million manat ($2.1 million), while in 2018 their volume was only 1.3 million manat ($764,705).

In the structure of long-term assets, fixed assets net of depreciation decreased by 1.7 percent to 58.2 million manat ($34.2 million). Other assets amounted to slightly over 9.6 million manat ($5.6 million).

Total liabilities of the NBC Bank increased by 17 percent in 2019 compared to 2018, to 225.3 million manat ($132.5 million).

A little more than half of the bank’s liabilities (54 percent) accounted for deposits, the volume of which increased by 34.2 percent, to 142.7 million manat ($83.9 million). Liabilities to credit and financial organizations, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan and state funds amounted to almost 117 million manat ($68.8 million). Other liabilities amounted to 3.9 million manat ($2.2 million).

The bank’s share capital for 2019 didn’t change and amounted to 64 million manat ($37.6 million). The bank’s uncovered loss amounted to 8.3 million manat ($4.8 million), having decreased by 12.1 percent. The bank’s total reserves amounted to 2.8 million manat ($1.6 million, or an increase of 14.1 percent).

The total capital of the bank amounted to 57 million manat ($33.5 million) in 2019 compared to 55.7 million manat ($32.7 million) in 2018.
