Proparco Group is ready to expand services and financial instruments for private banks in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing Central Bank.
On 12 February 2020, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with representatives of Proparco at the French Development Agency (Agence Frangaise de Développement, AFD), the message said.
During the meeting the sides discussed the current situation in the banking sector, in particular, issues related to introduction of normative acts regulating activities of banking and non-bank credit organizations and Basel Committee standards.
"Proparco expressed readiness to expand services and financial instruments for private banks in Uzbekistan within the framework of programs on risk sharing, supporting their growth, financing small and medium enterprises.
The meeting also considered planned changes in regulation of banks' activities and issues related to monitoring of their activities and privatization of banks, including changes in prudential supervision and risk management.
