Azerbaijan’s UniBank OJSC increased total liabilities by 5.3 percent to 659.8 million manat ($388.1 million) in the first quarter of 2020, Trend reports citing the bank’s balance sheet.
According to the bank, in the structure of liabilities, a significant share of 73.8 percent accounted for deposits, which decreased by 8.3 percent on annualized basis and amounted to 486.8 million manat ($286.3 million).
Meanwhile, 78.8 percent accounted for deposits of individuals, which decreased just by 8 percent to 383.7 million manat ($225.7 million). The deposits of legal persons amounted to 21.2 percent of the deposit portfolio with 103.1 million manat ($60.6 million).
Liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, state funds, credit organizations and other financial institutions increased by 10.3 percent on an annualized basis and amounted to 143.1 million manat ($84.1 million).
Other liabilities dropped by two thirds and amounted to 12.9 million manat ($7.5 million).
According to the report, the bank’s share capital did not change on an annualized basis and remained equal to 96.1 million manat ($56.5 million). The uncovered loss amounted to 34.6 million manat ($20.3 million), decreasing 15.4 percent over the year. Capital reserves amounted to 4.6 million manat ($2.7 million), and hereby showed an increase of 7.2 percent.
Total capital of the bank increased by 8.4 percent and reached 349.1 million manat ($205.3 million).
