The largest share of credit investments in Azerbaijan accounted for the household sector, amounting to 44.5 percent as of April 1, 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
The volume of loans in the country’s household sector increased by 28.1 percent or by 1.5 billion manat ($0.8 million) on April 1, 2020 compared to April 1, 2019, amounting to 6.9 billion manat ($4 billion).
The volume of loans in the field of trade and services increased by 8.5 percent or by 196.8 million manat ($115.7 million) at the end of March 2020 compared to the end of March 2019, amounting to 2.5 billion manat ($1.4 billion), a share of the total volume of credit investments in this sector amounted to 16 percent.
The volume of loans in the field of transport and communications amounted to 1.1 billion manat ($0.6 billion), which is equivalent to 7.5 percent of total loans in the real sector. This indicator decreased by 13.9 percent or by 189.3 million manat over the year.
A two-fold reduction in lending was noted in the field of industry and production.
