Total assets of Azerbaijan’s Bank BTB grow

The total assets of Azerbaijan’s Bank BTB OJSC increased by 7.9 percent in 2019, Trend reports citing the bank’s report.

“In monetary terms, the total assets of the bank increased by 24.5 million manat ($14.4 million) up to 334.3 million manat ($196.6 million). The biggest share (67.6 percent) in the structure of assets accounted for the loan portfolio in the amount of 225.8 million manat ($132.8 million), which increased by 17.3 percent over the year. The volume of investment property amounted to 13.2 million manat ($7.7 million), having dropped by 1.3 percent,” the report noted.

The volume of deposits issued to other banks and financial institutions decreased almost threefold, amounting to 14.3 million manat ($8.4 million). Investments in securities also fell slightly, up to 3.3 million manat ($1.9 million).

A little more than 6.4 percent of total assets accounted for cash and cash equivalents. Their volume increased also by 6.4 percent, up to 21.5 million manat ($12.6 million).

In the structure of long-term assets, real estate, equipment and intangible assets remained almost unchanged, amounting to 51.3 million manat ($30.1 million). In 2019, the bank’s other financial assets amounted to over 1 million manat ($0.6 million), which is 0.5 percent more compared to 2018. All other assets amounted to 1.9 million manat ($1.1 million).

Bank BTB OJSC was established in 2010.
