Iran talks loans issued to manufacturing enterprises in Golestan Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22

About 22.9 trillion rials (about $546 million) in loans were issued to manufacturing enterprises which operations were suspended or those operating incompletely in Golestan Province (northeastern Iran) for restoration and increasing of operations, during 4 years (from March 20, 2016 to July 21), chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Golestan Province Hossein Toluian said, Trend reports referring to the organization’s website.

Toluian emphasized that the plan to issue loans to suspended or operating incompletely manufacturing enterprises in Iran's provinces began four years ago.

He added that so far, it has been approved to issue 25.3 trillion rials (about $604 million) in loans to 430 enterprises from the loans that were intended to issue for increase production in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020).

According to the chairman, in total, 5.63 trillion rials (about $134 million) in loans have been issued to 142 enterprises so far.

Toluian noted that it was planned to issue 5.72 trillion rials (about $136 million) in loans to 83 enterprises in order to create and increase employment in the province. So far, 1.8 trillion rials (about $42.8 million) in loans were issued to 18 enterprises.

“It was envisaged to issue loans worth 7.21 trillion (about $171 million) to 212 enterprises in order to modernize manufacturing enterprises in Golestan Province since last Iranian year. So far, 1.24 trillion rials (about $29.5 million) in loans were issued to 43 enterprises,” he said.
