Deputy minister: Changes in Azerbaijani state budget will not negatively affect population

The planned amendments in Azerbaijan’s state budget will be ensured as a result of optimization, they won’t have any negative impact on the population, and all the planned social projects will be consecutively implemented, Deputy Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Sevinj Hasanova said.
Hasanova made the remark during discussion of proposed amendments in the draft budget at the meeting of Azerbaijani Parliament’s Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Finance.
She also stressed that Azerbaijan's Accounting Chamber gave positive opinion on the draft budget and considered as necessary the steps taken in connection with the increase in the country's defense capability, the peculiarities of a qualitatively new socio-economic environment caused by the pandemic, providing additional support by the state to vulnerable groups the population, state-owned companies, business entities, small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as with the emergence of additional needs in the field of health care and other state needs, and new challenges related to the state budget's execution.
