The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Azerbaijan decreased by 0.7 percent in July 2020 compared to the previous month, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee.
Meanwhile, CPI rose by 4.6 percent compared to July last year.
Below is total CPI for food products, beverages and tobacco in July 2020 compared to June 2020 (in percentage)

In July this year, prices for round rice, buckwheat, pasta, lamb, frozen fish, cottage cheese, eggs, margarine, apples, kiwi, herbs, garlic and lentils went up compared to the previous month.
In turn, fresh fish, yogurt, sour cream, feta cheese, lemons, bananas, pears, cherry plums, plums, apricots, peaches, watermelons, melons, grapes, dried fruits, peppers and eggplants went down in price.
Prices on beets, walnuts, hazelnuts, chestnuts, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, onions, potatoes, fresh mushrooms, powdered sugar, natural honey and alcoholic beverages also declined.
No major changes in prices for other food products were observed.
