For the first nine months of 2020, 1,237 enterprises and organizations with the participation of foreign capital were registered in Uzbekistan, Trend reports referring to the State Statistic Committee of Uzbekistan.
According to the State Statistics Committee, as of October 1, the number of enterprises and organizations registered in Uzbekistan amounted to 11,900, of which 11,300 are currently operating. This indicator increased by 1,800 compared to the same period last year.
In particular, most of the enterprises were established with the participation of capital of foreign citizens: China - 1,757, Turkey - 1,464, South Korea - 863, the US - 276, Germany - 193 and other countries - 6,776.
Regarding the branch of activity of the created business entities, most of them are focused on the sphere of trade - 371 enterprises.
Some 343 enterprises were created in the field of industry with the participation of foreign capital, 135 enterprises in construction field, 94 enterprises in agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries, 53 enterprises in accommodation and catering services, and 42 enterprises were created in information and communication field.
