Over half of all bank liabilities in Azerbaijan fall on deposits of four banks

Following the results of the third quarter of 2020, the International Bank of Azerbaijan took the first place in terms of the volume of the deposit portfolio in Azerbaijan, Trend reports.

According to the quarterly balance sheet, the volume of the bank's deposit portfolio amounted to 4.59 billion manat ($2.7 billion), and its share in the structure of assets was 56.1 percent.

The second position in the rating was taken by Kapital Bank, with a total deposit portfolio of 3.72 billion manat ($2.19 billion) and a share in the structure of assets - 73.9 percent.

It is followed by Pasha Bank with the volume and share of the deposit portfolio in the amount of 3.62 billion manat ($2.13 billion) and 74.3 percent, respectively.

The loan portfolios of the first four banks in Azerbaijan exceed one billion manat ($589 million), and their total volume reaches 13.4 billion manat ($789 million), accounting for more than 71.5 percent of all bank customer deposits and more than half of all bank liabilities.

Azerbaijani banks in terms of total assets and liabilities for 3Q2020:

The total volume of the deposit portfolio of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 19.38 billion manats ($11.4 billion), and its share in the structure of total assets accounted for 74.5 percent.
