As of Oct. 1, 2020, insurance companies made 49,931 payments worth 20.4 billion tenge (approximately $47.01 million) on Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Vehicle Owners.

By a decree of Kazakhstan's President Kassym Jomart Tokayev, as a result of the spreading coronavirus pandemic, quarantine regime has been introduced in a number of Kazakh cities and regions, thus restricting transportation and use of personal vehicles.

Due to the introduced restrictions the number of car accidents has significantly decreased all across the country.
