Iran’s Ardabil Province reveals investments for first half-year period

About 61 billion rials (about $1.45 million) and $40 million worth of investments were invested to the Ardabil Province (northwestern Iran) during the first six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2020), said Gadir Taghizadeh, an official of Ardabil Province Governor's Office, Trend reports citing the governor office’s website.

According to him, a total of 488 licenses were issued to the establishment of enterprises in the province during the reporting period. And 11,500 people are envisaged to be employed after the launch of the enterprises.

The official added that while in the same period last Iranian year, about 53 billion rials (about $1.26 million) worth of investment was made to the Ardabil Province. Thus, 425 licenses were issued to the establishment of enterprises in the province in the same period last Iranian year and it was envisaged to be employed, 11,400 people.

Taghizadeh noted that 286 licenses were issued by the Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Ardabil Province for 6 months. A total of 25.4 billion rials (about $605,000) and $40 million worth of investments have been invested in these licenses. And 6,970 people are envisaged to be employed.

“Furthermore, 178 licenses have been issued by the Agriculture Department of Iran's Ardabil Province. A total of 27 billion rials (about $642,000) worth of investments have been invested in these licenses. And 3,680 people are envisaged to be employed,” he said.

Taghizadeh emphasized that 24 licenses have been issued by the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department of Ardabil Province. A total of 8 billion rials (about $190,000) worth of investments have been invested in these licenses. And 875 people are envisaged to be employed.
