Iran reveals exports of mining products

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 30

Iran exported 21.2 million tons of mining products worth $3.05 billion during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2020), Trend reports referring to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, the exports of mining products decreased by 43 percent in terms of value and 42 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“The exports of mining products accounted for 16.7 percent of Iran's total non-oil exports,” the report said.

In addition, Iran imported 2.28 million tons of mining products worth $1.75 billion over the reporting period, the report said.

According to the report, the imports decreased by 3 percent in terms of value and increased by 16 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

In general, Iran exported 65.5 million tons of goods worth $18.2 billion and imported 19.3 million tons worth $20 billion within first seven months of current Iranian year.
