The approach to the remuneration system for employees of budgetary organizations in Azerbaijan needs to be revised, the country’s Accounting Chamber stated in its opinion over the state budget for 2021, Trend reports on Dec.25.
According to the chamber, there are differences in the remuneration of employees performing the same duties in different government agencies. Changes in approaches to construction, digitalization of operational processes, and calculation of service costs will allow notably save the public funds.
The chamber noted that due to the implementation of decisions taken in previous years, and the creation of new acts that establish cost rates for certain areas of activity in order to ensure the legal implementation of available resources, it’s necessary to expand the regulatory framework, which will contribute to a feasible prognostication and cost-effective use of the budget funds.
Earlier during the discussion of the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2021 at the parliament’s meeting, the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber Vugar Gulmammadov said that the state budget of the country, as a state that achieved victory in the Patriotic War, for the next year takes into account the existing conditions. The chamber issued a positive opinion on the 2021 draft budget.
