It has been decided to be issued loans worth 5.65 trillion rials (about $135 million) in the agricultural sector of Iran’s Qazvin Province in the current year of Iran (from March 20, 2020, to March 21, 2021), said Fatima Khamsa, the Director of the Agricultural Department of Qazvin province, Trend reports citing the department’s website.
The director emphasized that according to the decision, the loans will be issued to 115 agricultural entrepreneurs in the province.
She added that the names of entrepreneurs have been announced to the banks for the issuance of 78 loans worth 3.37 trillion rials (about $80.1 million).
Khamsa noted that it has been decided the largest amount of loans will be issued in Takestan County. So, 36 loans worth 1.45 trillion rials (about $34.5 million) will be issued in this county.
“The loans are planned to be issued in the area of greenhouse products, herbal plants, fisheries, livestock, and poultry, processing industry,” she said.
According to the director, the largest value of loans - 3.76 trillion rials (about $89.5 million) - will be issued for the creation and improvement of facilities for the production of greenhouse products.
Khamsa also stressed that 935 people are to be employed in the agricultural sector of the province with the issuance of these loans," he said.
