Liabilities of Baku branch of National Bank of Pakistan increase in 2020

The Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan increased its total liabilities sevenfold during 2020 up to 2.9 million manat ($1.7 million), Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

In the structure of liabilities, almost the entire share (99.6 percent) accounted for the deposits in the amount of 2.9 million manat that’s $1.7 million (an increase of more than seven times for the year).

At the same time, more than 95.7 percent of deposits accounted for demand deposits of legal entities in the amount of 2.8 million manat ($1.6 million), which shows an increase of 13 times for the year. Demand deposits of individuals, having decreased by 39.1 percent, are estimated at 124,000 manat ($72,941).

Other liabilities of the bank decreased by 20.25 percent and amounted to 10,800 manat ($6,352).

In accordance with the report, the special capital of the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan decreased by 2.2 percent on an annualized basis and amounted to 9.5 million manat ($5.6 million). The bank's capital reserves were estimated at 721,500 manat that’s $424,411 (a decrease of 0.2 percent).

The aggregate capital of the Baku branch of the National Bank of Pakistan is 9.5 million manat ($5.6 million) in 2020, decreasing by 2.2 percent compared to 2019.
