Azerbaijan records growth of GDP in non-oil sector over Jan. 2021

The nominal incomes of the population of Azerbaijan decreased by 1.1 percent in January 2021, compared to January 2020, Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

According to the CBA, the nominal income of the country's population as of February 1, 2021 amounted to 4.01 billion manat ($2.35 billion), which is less than the same period last year.

In January 2021, the country's nominal GDP amounted to 6.25 billion manat ($3.67 billion), which is 5.9 percent less than in January 2020.

At the same time, the volume of GDP in the non-oil sector amounted to 3.44 billion manat ($2.02 billion), which has increased by 1.9 percent over the year. Investments in fixed assets during the reporting month amounted to 724 million manat ($425.8 million), showing a decrease of 27.4 percent or 272.7 million manat ($160.4 million) compared to the same month of last year.

By early February 2021, the average annual consumer price index amounted to 3.3 percent, an increase of 0.6 percentage points over the year.
