The current account balance in Azerbaijan's GDP is projected at 3.7 percent in 2021, Trend reports citing the report of the Moody’s international rating agency.

According to the agency, in 2020 this figure varied within 1.5 percent. In 2022, Moody’s forecasts the current account balance in GDP at 6.3 percent, which is 2.6 percentage points more than in 2021.

Earlier, the Standard & Poor's (S&P) international rating agency predicted Azerbaijan's current account balance in 2021 at 0.4 percent of GDP, which demonstrates the return of Azerbaijan's balance of payments to a surplus, since by the end of 2020 Azerbaijan's current account deficit amounted to 3.7 percent of GDP.
