The Iranian banks issued loans worth 4.13 quadrillion rials (about $98.5 billion) to the industrial and mining sectors in Iran during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through January 19, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, about 662 trillion rials (about $15.7 billion) worth of loans was issued for the establishment of enterprises in the industrial and mining sectors over the reporting period.

"In addition, 3.09 quadrillion rials (about $73.7 billion) worth of loans was issued as working capital in these sectors," the statistics said.

During 10 months, 44.9 trillion rials (about $1.06 billion) worth of loans was issued for repair work in the industrial and mining sectors, the statistics said.

According to the statistics, at the same time, 276 trillion rials (about $6.59 billion) worth of loans was issued for the development of Iran's industrial and mining sectors.

In total, 45.8 trillion rials (about $1.09 billion) worth of loans was issued in Iran's industrial and mining sectors for the purchase of personal assets, 8.1 trillion rials (about $193 million) for the purchase of housing, and 2.67 trillion rials (about $63.6 million) for other purposes, the statistics said.

As reported, the Iranian banks issued loans worth a total of about 13.9 quadrillion rials (about $332 billion) in various sectors over the 10 months.
