Azerbaijani insurance company to increase volume of payouts

Taking into account that the main goal of Azerbaijan’s Ateshgah Sigorta company is to ensure the efficiency, transparency and fairness of the insurance regulation process, the volume of insurance payouts to customers will continue to increase during 2021, leading specialist of the department of marketing and development of insurance products of the company Maila Abbasova told Trend on April 16.

"Ateshgah Sigorta has made payments to clients in the amount of 185.5 million manat ($109.1 million) since the first day of operation in the Azerbaijani insurance market," Abbasova said.

Among these indicators, payments for the types of compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners and for insurance of vehicles against damage dominate.

"In total, funds were paid in the amount of more than 77.6 million manat ($45.6 million) and 29.8 million manat ($17.5 million), respectively, for these two types," Abbasova said.

Ateshgah Sigorta insurance company, which serves clients on voluntary and compulsory insurance, constantly uses innovative solutions in its activity.

"At the moment, one of the main activities of the company is the development and implementation of new products on the Azerbaijani insurance market based on an ESG strategy that uses modern technologies," Abbasova said. "This strategy allows minimizing the negative impact of various sectors of the economy on the environment."

Ateshgah Sigorta insurance company has been operating in the Azerbaijani insurance market since 1996.

Today 20 insurance companies and one reinsurance companies operate in Azerbaijan. Earlier, the licenses of three insurance companies, Amrah Sigorta, АXA MBASK, Standard Insurance, were canceled.
