The volume of loans from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) approved for Azerbaijan exceeded $2.68 billion by early 2021, Trend reports referring to the ADB report for 2020.
According to the report, nearly $2.52 billion, or 93.7 percent of this amount, has already been spent by Azerbaijan to finance various projects. Some $168 million (6.3 percent) of the loan funds haven’t been spent yet.
The loan funds allocated for Azerbaijan made up 1.44 percent of the total loan portfolio of ADB.
Since 1999, the ADB has allocated funds to the country in the amount of $4.4 billion.
