The volume of loans issued to government agencies in Azerbaijan amounted to 700,000 manat ($411,760) as of early April 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, the given figure has remained almost unchanged since May 2020 but decreased year on year by 200,000 manat ($117,650).
The largest share of loans in Azerbaijan as of early April 2021 fell on households, amounting to 46.6 percent, or 6.87 billion manat ($4.04 million) of the total volume of lending to the real sector.
The volume of loans issued to other sectors during the reporting period made up 536.6 million manat ($315.6 million), which is 25.3 percent, or 181.8 million manat ($106.9 million), less than at the beginning of April 2020. The share of lending to other sectors in lending to the real sector amounted to 3.6 percent, which is less by one percent compared to the same period of last year.
Total lending to the real sector of the economy in Azerbaijan in the first quarter of 2021 surpassed 14.7 billion manat ($8.67 billion), which is 909.4 million manat ($534.9 million), or 5.8 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
