The gross domestic product (GDP) of Azerbaijan dropped by 0.2 percent from January through April 2021 compared to the same period of 2020, settling at 25 million manat ($14.7 million), Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, the value-added in the oil and gas sector of the country fell by 8.4 percent, while in the non-oil sector– rose by 4.1 percent, the committee said.
As reported, the GDP per capita in the first 4 months of this year increased by 11.4 percent, having amounted to 2,506.2 manat ($1,474).
The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan forecasts a growth of 3.4 percent for the country’s GDP in 2021.
