Baku Stock Exchange issues 5M2021 data on operations with corporate securities

The total volume of transactions on corporate securities at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) amounted to about 144.65 million manat ($85.09 million) from January through May 2021, Trend reports referring to the BSE report.

During the reporting period, 2,064 transactions have been concluded on the BSE. Of these, 2,059 transactions (99.8 percent) worth over 83.6 million manat ($49.1 million) fell on the secondary market.

In particular, 1,904 shares were sold for 2.6 million manat ($1.5 million) and 155 bonds for 81 million manat ($47.6 million). Three transactions in the secondary market involved the sale of mortgage bonds in the amount of 62.91 million manat ($37 million).

Five transactions (0.2 percent) worth 61 million manat ($35.8 million) were concluded in the primary market, including two shares worth 5.5 million manat ($3.23 million) and three bonds worth 55.5 million manat ($32.6 million), including two mortgages, were sold.

The capitalization of the BSE on the last trading day of May 2021 amounted to 4.22 billion manat ($2.48 billion), having increased by 9 percent YTD.
